International Construction Week (ICW) and BuildXpo
The International Construction Week (ICW) is the premier annual event for the construction industry in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
The ICW is a platform for the construction industry players in Malaysia and around the region to showcase, learn and explore the latest trends, developments and technologies surrounding the construction industry. It is also an event to celebrate and promote the capability of the construction industry as well as providing a platform for the players to network and share experiences.
BuildXpo 2024 is the exhibition component of the ICW 2024. While ICW 2024 focuses on the conference aspect of the event, BuildXpo 2024 will be the platform for the construction industry players in Malaysia and around the world to showcase and explore in person, the latest trends, developments, and technologies in the construction industry. ICW has been hosted by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia annually since 1998 and this year it's back for 24th edition to be held at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur from 22 – 24 October 2024 with the theme of ‘Envisioning the Future of Construction’.
The construction industry is a powerful engine behind the economic development of any nation. A robust construction industry is needed to improve the standards and quality of built environment whilst promoting environmental sustainability. The adoption of new and emerging technologies crucial to enhance the industry’s productivity and long-term competitiveness. This year’s ICW and BuildXpo strives to bring all industry players and stakeholders together to share knowledge and experience and in order to spur the industry through a reinvention and innovation towards an agile and sustainable construction industry.
